Sei giovani giornalisti europei per riflettere sul giornalismo in crisi e in trasformazione. Insieme agli ospiti italiani e internazionali, grazie al sostegno e all'organizzazione della Rappresentanza in Italia della Commissione Europea, la European Youth Press è stata tra le protagoniste del Festival Internazionale del Giornalismo di Perugia conclusosi il 5 aprile scorso.
L'intera copertura dell'edizione 2009 del Festival Internazionale del Giornalismo consultabile su www.orangelog.eu. Articoli, foto, interviste, realizzati dai colleghi di European Youth press, sei giovani giornalisti provenienti da Spagna, Francia, Germania, Polonia, Ungheria e Romania, ospiti di Youth Press Italia a Perugia. I sei giovani autori hanno partecipato al Festival Internazionale di Giornalismo venerdì 3 aprile in un dibattito con il Presidente del Parlamento Europeo, Hans-Gert Pöttering e Roberto Santaniello, responsabile della comunicazione della Rappresentanza italiana della Commissione Europea. I paesi di provenienza sono stati selezionati in base alla loro adesione alla UE e al ruolo delle rispettive Youth Press nazionali. Così, tre giovani reporters dall'Europa occidentale, in arrivo da Spagna, Francia e Germania, hanno lavorato con tre giovani reporters della Polonia, Ungheria e Romania, cittadini europei dopo l'apertura a est nel 2004.

Nel corso del dibattitto, i sei colleghi, giornalisti affiliati alle associazioni nazionali aderenti al network di European Youth Press, hanno discusso sulle modalità di accesso e funzionamento della professione giornalistica nei paesi di provenienza, sulla condizione del giornalismo dopo la caduta del muro di Berlino nell'Europa dell'Est e sulla possibilità di realizzare dei media transnazionali. Giunti a Perugia mercoledì 1 aprile, hanno coperto le cinque giornate del Festival fino a domenica, per poi ripartire. Nel corso dell'evento, hanno intervistato il presidente del Parlamento Europeo, 
Maximilian Kall (25) is one of the founders of the Youth Press of Germany. The organisation was set up in 2003, gathering together more than 10 000 young journalists in Germany and now hosts more than 200 events, seminars and workshops every year. Maximilian Kall started working as a freelance journalist for the regional daily newspaper “Rheinische Post” in 1999. Since 2006 he has worked as a project coordinator for the European Youth Media Days hosted by the European Parliament and the European Youth Press in Brussels.
Zsuzsa Zsabo. I’m a radio broadcaster in Hungary, Kiskunfélegyháza. I work as an editor - reporter - speaker. (www.siriusradio.hu) I’m on air in morning shows and cultural programmes. I’m also a volunteer at a non-profit community radio in Szeged, make interviews, especially in the summer, when we work in youth festivals. (www.radiomi.hu). I participated in the Youth Media Convention 2009 in Berlin, that was the first time I met with the Orange. I am really curios about how this mobile editorial press works! I have English knowledge, some radiospeaker experience, and a great dictaphone, so Im ready to start!
My name is Piotr Marciniak, Peter. I’m studying sociology at the University of Science in Warsaw. At the moment I’m preparing a photo exhibition about my volunteer work in north Tanzania. My journalism experience are: editor of the university sociological journal Poland & World, member of the Youth Press Association Polis since 2007. Used to write screenplay, event reviews from different festival. Very Sociable, I love traveling and making new relations with people. Keen on art foremost photography and theatre. Favourite quotation: "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music".
My name is Alfonso Carlos Cobo Espejo. I was born in Córdoba (south of Spain) 25 years ago. I have finished my studies of Journalism. I got my Bachelor in the University of Seville in 2006. I was Erasmus student for one year in the Institut d´Études Politiques of Lyon (France) where I obtained the Certificat d´Études Politiques. When I returned to Spain, I completed my studies doing a Master´s degree of Edition of University of Salamanca in Madrid. At present I´m the Spanish coordinator for the European Young Journalist Award 2009 and I do some collaborations like freelance (Cafebabel, for example). In the past I have worked as journalist in Brussels, Madrid and Córdoba in differente areas (online newspapers about European topics, press departments of publishing houses and printed local newspapers).
Carmen Claudia Paun. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies from the University of Bucharest, Romania. After a short master program in European Studies, I am now doing an internship with the business network CSR Europe in Brussels. I worked as a journalist for almost 2 years in the Romanian magazine Campaign. I am a board member of the European Youth Press and (still) the President of the Association of Students in Journalism and Communication (ASJC) Romania.
Céline Diais. I am 25. I partecipated to the first edition of European Youth Media Days in Brussels, 2007. Now I am studying journalism in Bordeaux. I like photography. I am collaborating with Journal Europa since 3 years. This month, I am working on articles about European elections. I am very interesting in European subjects. And I speak quite well Italian. I have lived there one year.
